Alice set up The Barn in 2017 with her best friend, Nicci. The Barn has been an outstanding achievement, and she is thankful for its success. Having worked as a visual merchandiser in the fashion retail sector.
Alice always had a keen interest in Beauty and took the plunge by training as a therapist in 2008, and never looked back. Alice has 11 years’ experience. She is enjoying all aspects of her job, especially indulging others with a relaxing beauty treatment.
Alice has a calm, gentle nature and likes to create a comfortable atmosphere for her clients to come and enjoy. In February 2019 Alice took time out to have baby Wilf. She is enjoying being a mummy and balances this with her work at The Barn.
In January 2017, Nicci took a leap of faith to create The Barn with her best friend, Alice. She qualified at City College Norwich in 2002.
Then worked at Sprowston Manor before taking the plunge to become self-employed working mobile and for ten years with the lovely team at Body and Skincare, Norwich.
Alongside this, she brought up her two now teenage boys Kai and Jake.
Nicci enjoys the creative, care and management aspects of the job, ensuring that everyone who comes through the door is well looked after.
In May 2017, Michelle, was the first of the beauty therapist’s, to join Nicci & Alice’s team at The Barn.
Michelle has sixteen years’ experience as a beauty therapist, specialising in her passion as a makeup artist. She takes great pride in helping brides feel and look incredible on their special day.
With Michelle’s love of health and fitness, massage has to be one of her favourite treatments. Michelle is passionate about her work and her clients – a real motivator to us all!
Hannah joined in January 2019. She was thrown into an expanding team, helping to cover Alice’s maternity leave, and has proved that nothing fazes her. Before joining the team here at The Barn, she worked as a mobile therapist and at the Barnham Broom Hotel.
Hannah qualified at City College Norwich in 2014 and has continued to update her skills, the latest being, Dermaplaning which she undertook in February this year.
Hannah is extremely organised, helpful and has a calm, professional approach.
Jane has a nursing background and has been working in complementary therapy for 31 years following a natural progression through bodywork and energy-based practices, including Aromatherapy and Reflexology, Reiki to, Shiatsu and Qigong, including Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). In 2018 Jane was awarded the "Holistic Therapist of the Year" by the Federation of Holistic Therapists.
Reflexology is proving to be extremely popular here at The Barn. Jane offers Reflexology, Shiatsu, and the M Technique (a relaxation treatment described as physical hypnotherapy and encourages a deep state of relaxation, ideal for anyone needing some stress relief).
Jane's empathetic nature radiates a sense of calm and relaxation, someone you can relax around.”
